Who we are

Cultour is a young and dynamic tour operator.

Its founder Marco Tardio combined his two passions, for Brazil and for trips, and created a tour operator that wants to be different for its itinerancies and proposed content. It’s a project aimed at those who see traveling as not only entertainment but also an opportunity for cultural, spiritual, and human development. That’s why travel designer Marco Tardio has worked hard to plan trips that are different from ordinary tourism packages. Cultour trips are the result of careful field research, during which the travel designer travels to discover unknown places where cultural traditions are still untouched. Places that have elegant accommodation structures to meet the needs of a traveler who likes to feel exclusive by having a unique experience. It’s not a trip characterized by “luxury” (from Latin “luxu”, in Portuguese, “ostentação”). Instead, it’s a trip characterized by “charm” (from Latin “carmen”, in Portuguese, “encanto”). There is no standard trip, because there’s not a standard traveler, and neither nature nor the social and cultural activities of people is predictable. This is the reason why Cultour is specialized in customization. It customizes the trip taking into consideration the profile of the traveler and the season in order to design a fitting program. Renting and exclusive events is what distinguishes Cultour from other operators. Having a drink at sunset on a dune, having lunch in a beach cabin or on an island that emerges just for a few hours a day, or partying with natives are just a few examples of such events. All the monitors of the activities are carefully selected in the local community and are well trained. Thanks to its biodiversity, Brazil is an incredibly rich and interesting country. But what makes Brazil unique is the cultural peculiarities that it offers. That’s why the real fascination of the trip can only be properly appreciated by interacting with the natives, the local population, and the people who were born and grew up here, and by enjoying as much as possible the happy and close hospitality offered by them. They are the actual hosts who accompany our travelers to experience their home. Try a “slow travel” to Brazil and share your experience and passion with us.
